Seems like they have a pilot script and no funding. This was way too much hype and preamble for an idea they’re still shopping around
The hype is the pitch. That’s how they get funded
Most series don’t get funded by directly asking fans to beg studios on their behalf. I don’t expect this series to ever see the light of day.
Worked for Hazbin.
probably not the best example. The writing turned to shit because it didn’t have a real fleshed out plan beyond edge and hype. The fanbase became toxic, divided and cringe. The show is not long for this world.
Being a fan of a person is cringe. Doubly so if you dont know that person. That whole hazbin thing spun into celebrity worship. Their Broadway style show looked like a bronycon gathering.

although there is probably a sizable crossover, I unironically believe that Bronies are less cringe than Hazbin fans.

Bronies are generally positive and cheeful.

Hazbin fans are like, all of edgelords, lol-so-random-cheeze, im-14-and-this-is-deep, emo bullshit…

I can agree with that, at least MLP is wholesome for the most part.

Right.

And MLP is made and targeted for children. That some adults enjoy it too, that’s fine. The show doesn’t target them as an audience.

Hazbin however (and Helluva Boss)… are supposed to be shows “for adults”. And yet all of the writing, all of the humor, and most importantly all of the advertising and merch seems to be targeted directly AT tweens and teens. The shows creators are aware of and directly target their material to the younger audience.

Isn’t it fun how every new thing these days ends up being some predatory practice? Ffs.
Of all fandoms, Firefly fans were exactly the type to take out a full-page ad in a major newspaper (hmm, remember those?) in a bid to keep the show on the air.
I know, I was one back in the day and I remember the campaigns. Doesn’t really change my feelings about TV show advertising now. There’s a big difference between fans begging for a show to come back and fans being told to beg for a new show to be funded.
