well i may or may not have accidentally broken my phone today. is a north american fair phone still just a dream or is it happening. that or has anyone on here tried switching to a dumb phone or at least a less smart then most phone.

its likely just gonna be a cheap repair (assuming i do it myself) so this isn't really asking for urgent info. more like having a close shave with death and deciding its time to get your affairs in order lol

@RedPand my phone broke months ago and I just went back to my phone from 2018 and have no regrets about it, I've just started using my phone dumber.

@nat sadly not an option as my old phone the battery decided to swell up lol. however ive been looking at new phones and realizing my current phone is basically th budget phone of today. seriously considering just getting a cheap Motorola smartphone to hold me over till the fair phone makes it to the states

@RedPand I don't know how much I believe fairphone will come to NA in any given timeframe, but if I were you I would also look into getting and older higher end phone, maybe a used older google pixel and reflash it? Biggest thing to look at when doing this is battery health.
