NomdebPreparing for a stormy tomorrow. Some storms in the early (for me) AM and then the bigger threat - including tornado warnings in the late afternoon. Not much we can do about it, but very glad to have a whole house backup generator. #MetroDC

Knut 🏳️🌈 🇳🇴🧸@nomdeb Oh I didn't realize you lived in DC. I spent 4 glorious days in DC several years ago just for the Library of Congress. I'm a massive book nerd. Four days was just not long enough to see all of it. Even have a LoC library card.
@praetor It's a great area except for the current "element" in the White House and environs. We are now fully retired, but cannot really think of anywhere else that has all the conveniences we have (close to airports, great things like the LOC, the museums, etc. medical care) that would make it worth the effort of a move.
How cool you got to spend that time at LOC.
@nomdeb Oh the LOC was just a dream come true. And they are such nice people in there. There was this one librarian who gave me opening hour tickets, so I could stay all day. It was a blast. Didn't care to see the WH, because this was the same year of Trump's first broo ha ha. And didn't care to see the rest of it. That is awesome you're in the Metro tho. It's a beautiful city.
