Mastodon is great social network. It feels like the old time twitter or forums with no algorithms and very small and friendly community, but the fact that you can see an answer from a person, open their profile and see 0 posts while a counter above shows 1k posts - it's frustrating.

I understand it's a federated network and pulling all posts can create a performance issues, but from a user's perspective it makes no sense. I need to click "Open original page link" to see the same profile on their instance.

If I need to comment something, I need to copy a link to the post and search in on my instance (this specific post will be synchronized).

Given that all of those posts are available on the server to see, why not just load them from another server in my UI?

No need to load them on backend, just show me them on frontend , it will be a good enough solution.

It's a well-known issue that was brought a multiple times, but with no solution so far.

It would be great if clients would mimic it, in frontend and especially third party ones, like Ice Cubes.
