That last #SteamDeck update really borked my system. I had to do the same fix that I have always had to do. I don't know why it works, but it does.

I had to open it up & unplug the battery cable & then plug in the AC adapter & turn on the system. Once it booted up then I had to shut it down. Remove the AC adapter. Plug the battery back in & put it back together.

It's been awhile since I've had to do this but I have had to do it a half dozen times over the last several years.

@Judeau That is indeed weird. I've never had to do that with my 256 GB LCD model.

@seq I have never had it happen in relation to an update before this one.

Usually it happens when I put the system in "sleep mode" and it wont wake back up even when holding the power button for 10 seconds to force a reboot.

Its a known issue as i found the solution online.

There are several other things that seem to trigger the issue. The deck will appear to be off but then it starts to get really hot and the only fix is to unplug the battery cable and boot it back up via the ac adapter.
