does anyone need a set of 4K movie film scanners

my first thought was "how easy is it to get that to GA?" (I know its a long way and that kit is heavy and bulky, but in USA you often don't need extra driving licence to drive large vehicles if its not a commercial venture 😉 )

@vfrmedia @rey @alyx @ajroach42 I mean, I moved here from there, with my wife, our dog, and three cats in the car with me for three days. I doubt the film scanners would require nearly as much attention during the nightly stops…

Think about how much better our archival work would be with film scaners instead of telecine machines!!

but we're literally on the other end of the country... I'd need a little help aranging the logistics.

@ajroach42 @djsundog @alyx @vfrmedia @rey I'd offer to drive a leg across the Midwest if I didn't already have other imminent travel right now

Edit to add: please feel free to ping me if you end up arranging a pony express style transport plan. I could donate a day of my time to the cause if the timing works out. I also have a minivan I can put into freight mode if we're trans loading, or I could invest in a tow hitch like I've been strongly considering for a while and tow a small trailer (emphasis on small)
