Working out my 'remote office' working routine. Using @jetbrains toolbox remote thing to connect over cloudflare WARP + Starlink to my dekstop machine seems to be pretty slick!
Means I can keep my laptop cheap plus have all the power of my 9950x / A4000 desktop for AI type dev.
Mind you my M5 Macbook Air arrives shortly so that'll be pretty nippy for local (small) AI stuff too.
Yet to try it for reals (mounted to my motorhome roof) but even just stuck in the window the starlink mini's getting 100mb+...
Reliable broadband ANYWHERE is seriously cool for me. Really doesn't matter where I am, I still have access to my work environment securely!
And of course having a backup (non mobile network...which SUCKS in much of Scotland) broadband provision is super handy sometimes!
@scottgal I've seen lots of campers NOT mounting the antenna, but instead use a ladder (or other self standing extendable mount) to position it for best performance.
@TimChaffee I just want the least faff possible. Plan is just to point it straight up on the highest part of the roof. Works pointed out a window with buildings in front facing west so...guessing it's pretty good.
