@WillderBeast I was an exchange student in Canada, and one of my mates and I were friends with some girls in the same accommodation block. They'd go shopping, we cook. A roomie of them was cooking her KD in parallel to us making real pasta with cheese sauce.
It took the same time, because that's how long pasta cooks.
