I wasn’t going to bother with this #LongCovidAwarenessDay as most people just turn away, but someone close to me has apparently developed the condition in the past year. Being a Covid minimiser didn’t help him. So it’s not gone away. 🧵
I was infected with covid on October 6th 2022 (another LOTR parallel!), and never fully recovered. I have got better and then relapsed again. I have no respiratory issues, but almost everything else, from fever for 18 months, to bleeding eyes, teeth problems, tachycardia, digestion issues, insomnia and of course, severe fatigue that can result from any kind of exertion, especially social and cognitive.

And, as many of you will know, I was a fit and healthy runner BC, completing my final (I suspect) 10k mini marathon in 58 minutes in June 2022. I still feel robbed.

Don’t let this happen to you
