Probably going to implement this for my website, too. Seems easy to do especially because I keep all my follows on Mastodon and RSS in an OPML. Lots of vouches get added to the network :)

@sethmlarson Such a minor thing, but I appreciate you putting a user-agent in even your quick script! Default user-agent in so many tools is such a pet peeve of mine XD
Wish all the various http/request libraries made it a bit easier to set a global agent.

@nedbat I created it from my RSS reader OPML, manually going through and marking websites as "yep, that's a person I've met or talked to" or not. I didn't actually check whether that website continued to resolve... I'll have to go through again and check that they're at least still valid.
