My wife's getting a new wheelchair that doesn't collapse and we're lucky enough to be financially stable, so it's time to start figuring out what the new car will look like to accomodate. She can walk for limited distances, so we just need enough cargo space.
Anyone here have any experience with the Not A Wheelchair and a plug in hybrid vehicle it fits in? (Living in a townhouse, no place to set up a charging station for full electric)

Looking at the incentives, the one and only PHEV SUV that qualifies for the Canadian EVAP and actually sells for cheap enough that it applies is the Ford Escape, so guess I need to check that out...
@FlyingMarmot If you can lift the wheelchair in and out yourself, then there is a lot more flexibility in vehicle choice. I always look for rear seats that slide and adjust lean angle so you can maximise boot space.
