Hi,
I don’t know if anyone else is having this problem, or if it’s been reported, but there appears to be a bug that’s surfaced since the “quote” feature was implemented.

If I’m scrolling through & 1) stop to read a toot but neither like nor boost it, then scroll on, 2) the next toot I intend to boost actually reverts to the (1) post and boosts it, but does nothing to the (2) post.

I’m on iOS 18 on both a 2024 iPad Air & iPhone SE Gen 2. I get the bug on both.

(First bug I’ve ever run into since 2022!)

@cynblogger Interesting! Never heard of that bug before, but there is a different bug I’ve seen reported that seems a bit similar that I never managed to track down… wonder if this is a clue to that one too.

Hi, it’s me again (who had the weird bug with misplaced boosts).

I wanted to let you know the bug vanished as soon as I (finally) upgraded to iOS 26.3.1 on both iPad & iPhone. I hope my procrastination didn’t cause you any needless time spent on research. Sorry!

@cynblogger Ok, that is a big clue to why I’ve never seen it! It also makes even less sense now, that really shouldn’t be tied to iOS version…
