I do not believe that there's any real aesthetic or heritage cost to building another tower in Vancouver's CBD, but even if there were we have to weigh that against a couple thousand jobs right next to the SkyTrain, SeaBus, and West Coast Express
I also think the architects are doing themselves a disservice with the flat, muted architectural diagrams. The building looks pretty cool in glass (disclaimer: AI slop, missing existing buildings nearby)
@grids.reillywood.com It does look pretty cool, and perhaps Vancouver is the exception because there’s a lot of pretty sights worth reflecting but glass towers are already a bit over represented. Wouldn’t fight it just because of that, of course
