@menos @DrALJONES it's strategically extremely dumb - if you're after a quick win then you want your enemy to surrender! it only makes any kind of sense if you're losing a defensive war and desperate.

which raises the question - is DUI Pete 1) evil and trying to maximise suffering on both sides or 2) too stupud to know what 'no quarter' means and saying it to sound cool?
