we've reached the "dont complain about AI because its hyperbolic and only drives people apart, morality isnt a binary!" part of the curve.

imagine resisting anything with even like 5% strength, imagine! if you are a supposedly a critic of this technology, however nuanced, it's on you to make cases and explain how we are going to use something for its benefits without succumbing to it's costs. and right now the cost is total alienation and dispossession in a fascist surveillance dystopia

i know not everyone is Ⓐ but most left/liberal people have an innate distrust of big companies or "corporatism". we are watching the entirety of the worlds knowledge being folded into a proprietary metered data service controlled by a few players. likely too that their poor finances will mean they end up being merged into existing google/ms monopolies in the next years.

pitting the usefulness of some feature of this tech against the critics of it's role in growing tech fascism is a misappropriation of radical philosophy. accessibility and translation are noble goals, and their default devaluation by the hegemonic tech world IS a problem!

but if nothing can be done except to walk willingly into the jaws of anthropic and trump then THIS is the major split between us, this is the divisive force, not those tech "vegans" arguing too loudly and annoyingly.

@dantescanline hear hear! yes!

oh, and turn this into a zine / screed / website!

@exquisitecorp they did it lee, they made me mad enough to post long about AI 🤣
