@gnome @jonathan favorites count as an interaction which is used to calculate the ā€œtrendingā€ posts on instances, so it's not completely useless! It also helps us know what posts resonate with people. No it's not the same as legacy social media but it still has its purposes.

@froschi @gnome I switched to Fedoraā€™s Budgie spin about a year ago due to some bug Iā€™m sure I caused. I definitely miss the full customization options that Gnome offers though. Any real downsides to Gnome 50? Iā€™ve been using Fedora/Gnome full time since 2011, and Iā€™m curious if Iā€™m missing out!

For the record, I love Gnome so this isnā€™t any attempt to sway anyoneā€™s attention elsewhere!

@gnome I think gnome is a great desktop environment for my living room PC. Great visibility from my couch, plus intuitive design.

@gnome Gnome 50 looks great. I have heard that session restore is not yet part of the release. Do you know, if it is an experimental feature or if it hasn't been included at all. If the latter, do you guess it will come with 50.x or rather 52?

@GerryT @gnome It has not been included at all. I was aiming to get it out in GNOME 50 but it wasn't ready so I won't set any expectations. It'll be released when it's ready
