I’m convinced the folding iPhone will be a big hit its first year and then sales will quickly decline.

A creased screen does not make for a good reading or watching experience.

A sub-iPad-mini-size screen is not going to be useful for productivity. It won’t be comfortable to type on.

The front of the phone will be asymmetric because of the hinge.

It’ll have no FaceID, and it seems like a lesser camera system than the Pro iPhone.

Battery life will likely suffer because more volume will be needed for the frame and hinge.

If cases exist for it, they’ll likely be awkward.

A lot of the apps people use most, like TikTok and messaging apps, won’t benefit from a widescreen (and using the iPhone unfolded in portrait seems very awkward)
