How do you handle backups? - Lemmy.World

I’ve identified most replacements apps to use on my pixel 10. The thing holding up my switch to graphene is photo storage and phone backups. I plan to use the app immich but where do you actually store your photos and back up your phone?

That does look nice and simple but where does it go? Do you use cloud storage or did you build something?

@DarkPassenger @merde you can use syncthing sort of with a server. What I did was install syncthing in CasaOS and sync to folders in my NAS. That way I have all the files in my NAS updated from all my devices. This also allows me to have a central source of truth and decide on the devices what I can ant and what I don't want individually.
