I have been involved with @alpinelinux so long that I can measure basically all of the major events of my adulthood by alpine release versions 😭

alpine 2.1: x86-64 port, I deployed it as a replacement OS for the SAN nodes at rapidxen

alpine 2.2: my dad died of cancer

alpine 2.6: masters degree

alpine 3.0: switched to musl, frantically spent a week fixing xen on alpine for an investor demo for a product that didn't go anywhere (cloudware, a vps hosting solution similar to proxmox)

alpine 3.6: switched to pkgconf. first home in a nice neighborhood

alpine 3.8: I came out publicly as being non-binary

alpine 3.9: libucontext. now used on two planets and in satellites.

alpine 3.10: consultancy business crashed the fuck out, I dust myself off and carry on

alpine 3.11: I came out as being transgender

alpine 3.12: SD-WAN startup attempt. Octeon port.

alpine 3.13: SD-WAN startup fails due to COVID lockdowns. Business funding was contingent on a deal with a prominent coworking provider. Supply chain security work in Alpine for GOSST.

alpine 3.15: witchery. apko and melange.

alpine 3.16: Chainguard hires me, I rebuild apko and melange in Go

alpine 3.17: wolfi

alpine 3.18: I moved to Seattle

alpine 3.20: I leave chainguard to go out on my own again. Edera.

alpine 3.22: xlibre stupidity. Wayback.

@ariadne @alpinelinux I use Alpine everywhere. The team behind it is a big part of the reason. Thanks for all your hard work!
