it's kind of a "lazy" patch (ie no gen~ , using the abl.devices etc) and yes - loads of my favs too :-)
I need to explore some of these ideas more - I'm sure I'm missing the point on modal synthesis - like it must be more than just pinging filters :-)
@junklight not my place to say it but I wouldn’t call it lazy for sure. I think it is one of the things I enjoyed about it. I see a lot super complex “i am the programming master guy look at my patches” things and I appreciate the further development environment myself. But everyone has a different way and method in the end
@elifyalvac I guess lazy compared to "I built it all in gen~" which is when I'm really focused :-)
I'm certainly not a programming master WOMAN (!) - but I have been at it for close to 40 years (obv not just max) so I guess I do have some skills :-) - but very seriously I have SO SO much to learn
definitely enjoying Max at the moment - especially now most of my modular is gone - I guess you do get to a point where you are fluent enough to just focus on the music
@junklight what happened to your modular if I may ask?

@elifyalvac had to sell it to live off :-( haven't had an income for a year now , largely unemployable (cos the tech industry is going to shit), starting a new music software company (yay!) first product out in a few weeks. I inherited a little money recently so my life isn't quite as on fire just now :-)
I learn so much from others talking about what they are up to - far too much of electronic music is "the specs of this are worse than that" and far too little of "I was trying to do this"
@elifyalvac (& one reason I'm enjoying following you and @sean_ae and also the likes of @yaxu - the best posts are the one that send you down a rabbit hole and prompt entirely new ideas)

@junklight Oh wow! I didn’t know you knew the work since then. Darkroom gave me the first opportunity to be in the UK when they invited me to do a set together back in 2016!
No, I appreciate what you are talking about so please keep me posted on the results of your Max patching or releases. I will be on the watch here for sure.
