We’ve had quite a few stories of shopping being paid for recently. There are so many kind strangers out there in supermarkets!

Thank you Irene for sending in this latest example:

“I was in the Tesco store on Lockerbie Road in Dumfries. I put all my shopping on the conveyer belt at the checkout and went to pay, but I'd left my purse at home. I then tried to use Google Wallet to pay, but my debit card hadn't been registered."

"I was about to put all my shopping back in the trolley and travel home to get my purse and come back to pay, when a lovely young women in the queue said she would pay the bill for me - I said I couldn't possibly let her do that and the next thing I knew, she just leant across and swiped her card and paid for everything.

It came to nearly £30 and she refused to give me her name and bank details so I could pay her back when I got home. I was totally gobsmacked at her kindness.”
