@ptua is there a history for the other end? Always thought it odd that it was once electrified but no more. Also odd the V-locity aren't electric when in the area.

That said, I think there’s scope to replace the diesel engine in one of the cars in a set with a battery powered electric motor, and I think https://januselectric.com.au/ would be an excellent place to start.
