zbrando@bert_hubert Yes, please. I'm not a developer but my gut feeling is that software development went downhill a long time ago: there is no optimization and frequently jumping on a new language/framework that should solve all the old problems but never does.

"GenAI" has removed all barriers to unrestrained focus on "velocity", but they've been trying to shift towards that - and this silly focus on exponential growth - ages ago.
(In the real world, no growth can ever be exponential forever; at best, it's logistic growth. But the stable phase is the one when software gets killed, because, well, _growth_.)
