If you look closely just above the horizon, a bit to the left of center, you can see the CN Tower across Lake Ontario from Hamlin, NY. Yep, it’s really there.

On a clear day, you can see the CN Tower from what used to be the Xerox tower in Rochester—the curvature of the earth hides all but the tip. Under the right conditions, the atmosphere creates a lens that bends light as it crosses the lake, making the CN tower visible from the beach.
