Uhhh, s—sure, #Thunderbird. You go right on ahead and reclaim those 218 GB. 🤷‍♂️

@rl_dane The G actually stands for gazillion.
@rl_dane you get a lot of spam.

@Eggfreckles

Prolly, yeah. But not mere spam, it's mostly professional spam, which is almost worse.

@rl_dane @Eggfreckles

I started using Betterbird (fork of thunderbird). It is much more responsive and faster.

@backtoanalog @rl_dane I only have a GB of email. Recently I tried going back to Claws Mail, but I still use Thunderbird on my Mac. (I hate how it does threading.)

@Eggfreckles @backtoanalog

You hate which's threading? Claws or T-Bird?

I always turn off threading in T-Bird. It's useful when you're looking at a single email, but adds too much confusion for me when looking at my inbox.

@rl_dane @backtoanalog I hate threading. I hate having to turn it off for every folder in Thunderbird.

@Eggfreckles @rl_dane

Betterbird is by default set to unthreaded. I hate threading too.

@backtoanalog @rl_dane I've changed the config setting to do the same in Thunderbird but default, but there is always one more folder that needs to be reset.

@rl_dane
....tbh I'd say no for fear kt was about to delete important shit

If the programmers can't correctly compute how much space they're about to free, they're probably not going to free space correcrly either lmao

@rl_dane any chance this is on ZFS where you might want `du -shA`?

@gumnos

Nyet. ext4 ;)

@rl_dane @gumnos I love when computers are encouraged/forced to use, “actual”.
