Dare say something negative about AI to a normie, and they will educate you that "AI is the future", "If it doesn't give good answer, you're prompting it wrong. It's always your fault!", "You'll be left behind if you don't learn to use it." (Ok, latter is maybe true, but that doesn't mean it should be praised, it's just that the CEOs are brainwashed and think the AI is actually more effective at everything than human workers, plus marketing propagandists want to sell their crappy AI products)

@fosserytech “you’ll get left behind” I find a weak argument. If it got to a point where you had to use it the learning curve for prompts is what an hour? There is no skill in using AI. I did a multi-day class at work to learn “just ask the AI another way” or "clarify what you want to know". I learned that in the first 10 minutes.
@fistfulofdave well, it sometimes doesn't give an appropriate answer even if prompted in a thousand different ways, with 20-30 sentence long prompts (at least Proton Lumo which I use, idk about ChatGPT and the other proprietary services, I prefer to use a more privacy respecting FOSS option). But normies don't believe this, they always blame the person who writes the prompt.
@fosserytech oh for sure, its never exactly what I wanted when I took the class. I tested it on a few things and always leaves out information I want to use or is critical.
