I haven't read it.

Tim Cook doesn't deserve my attention.

@marcoarment Cook doesn't DESERVE your attention, for sure.

But you do host a really popular podcast about Apple stuff. It's kinda your job to at least begrudgingly read a 50th anniversary press release so you can coherently talk about it, right?

@jimmylittle @marcoarment Hey maybe don’t go around telling strangers what their jobs “kinda” are?

@dwineman Fair point. I just think it’s very strange to build one’s entire career and public persona around a company, then say that the guy running the company isn't worth their time.

Even if one pays attention for the purpose of criticism (which is very valid, necessary, and frankly entertaining), one should probably still pay attention.

@jimmylittle @dwineman I think it’s their role to decide for themselves what their job is and for us to maybe criticise them for it.

@ahltorp @dwineman This is a great way to put it, and gentle criticism was my intent, not “telling him how to do his job”.

If podcasters can criticize CEOs when they disagree about how they do their CEO job, then listeners can criticize podcasters when we disagree about how they do their podcaster job.
