So if Linux ensloppifies, then what?
Is this Linux-libre's time to shine?
@chjara well, libre just removes the blobs so probably not going to change the situation that much. Wait until 2050 for Hurd to get better or otherwise, one of the BSDs...maybe Redox will also improve. We definitely need more diversity of UNIX-likes
@lexie My stupid chud Novideo card is preventing me from switching to anything too interesting.
@chjara the year of trisquel... surely...
@chjara already did, we hold on for now and start actually pushing for OS development in a non-monolithic way
@chjara finally, the year of HURD
@chjara I heard something about an “AI”-powered code review thing, is this that?
@aismallard Linux allows AI agent use for contributions now.
@chjara Oh. Okay that’s fun
@chjara I’d say I hope review strictness continues but somehow I am skeptical that that will be the case long-term
@aismallard And looking at the mailing list there already seems to be quite some usage of it. Including in core kernel files.
@chjara (If you have it open, do you have any links handy?)

@chjara gets out the bush HAIKU COME ON IT IS YOUR CHANCE
