So my mail server migration to an EU based mail provider went more or less as expected 🤕

I asked on Mastodon and most answers pointed me to the Berlin-based mailbox.org

I've been trying for a week to move my mail to them but the settings page said more or less, we can't tell you how to migrate to our service - figure it out yourself 🤷🏽‍♂️

So, today I took 20min and moved to a non-EU based mail service in 🇨🇭 where everything was streamlined and clear.

@icanzilb Weird. With IMAP its super easy to transfer. Last time I used imapsync. Sound trivial to build something like this into an service.

@obrhoff no no, not even move the emails, just enabling the domain transfer. It feels like I dodged a bullet, now on migadu.com and they have total no frills ui but super easy, still need to config a few things but it seems like they know what they're doing so far
