We started by asking: What are the critical qualities of healthy spaces? What helps you feel welcomed in those spaces and encouraged to connect with others?
After reviewing the literature and talking to experts, we identified 14 key qualities, or Civic Signals, that we believe are the foundation for flourishing public spaces.
But what does that look like online? We’re building Roundabout, a localized digital commons that’s built by communities, for communities.
By centering community needs and sustainable stewardship, Roundabout helps you find resources, connect with neighbors, and celebrate your community. It's currently being piloted in 5 towns & neighborhoods across the country, with more to come soon!
