Little annoying thing about KDE Plasma (+Xorg) coming from Gnome (again, +Xorg):

Literally everything has an extra 0.5s-2s hitch before launching. EVERYTHING. It's goddamned annoying, especially for things like quick screenshots when milliseconds matter.

I've been able to lessen only one of the hitches (vscode) by telling it to stop looking for kwallet. But, uh, if a screenshot program (and I've tried several) is looking for kwallet, something's fucked up with the world.
