AI now can dub YouTube videos to other languages, why I still can't find a proper tool to read my lecture scrips to me in a tolerable voice. Please give me some suggestions about softwares that helps dyslexia. I really need this. I don't want to read long German sentences about laws anymore. Listening to them will be way faster for me to understand. #askFedi #dyslexia

Piper seems to have reasonable voice models. Im using those with the "sherpaTTS" app on my phone to read gps navigation instructions and such.

Hooking this to a PDF-reader is sadly more annoying. I only know the linux setup: The Okular pdf reader in KDE has support to select text and read it out with the system-default TTS.
