Had my first failed #Shelly relay, ironically the it was the latest gen 4 1PM. Gladly they're honouring the warranty and a new one is on its way so time to see what failed.. I already knew a cap spilled its juice from the smell but also this coil exploded and there seems to be a crater in the neighbouring chip. It definitely was a vigorous pop when it went. #smarthome

@stardot It would make me uneasy wiring things that fail that spectacularly like that in; especially since I've heard of others doing the same.

@penguin42 I'm certainly conscious that they are installed in suitable enclosures but the failures aren't usually very exciting outside the packaging, this is my 3rd I think but the first Shelly so I was curious what the build quality was like and it certainly looks better than previous dissections. I'm just surprised how simple it is really, which is probably a good thing.
