It is an incredible privilege to do what I do. I am aware that not everyone has the resources or opportunities to go out and find birds and take photos of them. I take this seriously and do what I can to be a good steward of the abilities I’ve been given; and to share them as a reminder that the earth is a beautiful place that’s worth fighting for.

I heard the owls here for this first time this spring. Early this morning before dawn as I was lying in bed. I was barely awake, but my brain just wished for the owls to please be safe forever.
