Organisations are free to monetise their operation, but extractavist behaviour should be punished at all costs.
jack@david_whitney there's so much stuff that should be regulated but when it comes to tech, the regulations are going entirely the wrong way: "online safety" ID mandates, "chat control" privacy elimination, now they're trying to ban 3D printers that _don't_ lock you in to the vendor's cloud services so they can assess if you're printing gun components...
@jackeric Yes, regulators are fucking idiots most of the time, doing the wrong work without any practical understanding of technology.
