Basically just skipping to the video linked, the article didn’t explain much. Anyway Acme is cool, there is a lot to learn from it. Mounting all RPC functionality as a filesystem is indeed very cool and very Unix. The mouse stuff is wack, the whole magic of vim is that you don’t need it, but it’s easy to imagine a version that doesn’t require it. Making “everything a command” is also indeed very cool, as well as the simple mental model. It’s kind of visual shell. I totally see how this thing was way ahead of its time and vim is still barely catching up in some ways. Though it would be very easy to add the gaps and keep all of the power
