Honestly I understand your perspective. I tried to use Microsoft's bing AI to help me code some functionality in JavaScript for my portfolio site two years ago. It worked, but I felt so icky for using it that I deleted everything that it did and just buckled down and learned what I needed to and implemented the functionality myself and I felt a lot better for learning it myself!
