Something else that the Claude Code revolution reminds me of... way back in the day I worked with a gray-beard. He didn't believe in the standard C library, it was slow and stupid and too generic. So he wrote his own bespoke strcmp. It was perfect, and fast, and beautifully elegant. But, I used the std lib and built an entire UI, he had a function. Some days I feel like the gray beard, I'm constantly reminding myself not to be that guy...
