@MaryAustinBooks Once again, thank you to whoever it was I was talking to months back about how we should all, if seeing somebody wearing pervert glasses, point at them and shout "PERVERT GLASSES! PERVERT GLASSES!" continously - no matter where we are; at home, at work, in the street.

@sotolf @MaryAustinBooks what's worse is whatever gets filmed gets sent to a team somewhere in the world (Kenya I think) where each part of the image is tagged and used for training Meta's slop generator.

There is just so much wrong with these pervert glasses.

@paul @MaryAustinBooks With the people wearing those things those Kenyans will have to look at a lot of butts and chests... Well at least it's something a bit less harrowing than the moderation or chat tasks I've seen foisted upon them before.

Oh yes, both from an exploitation standpoint and a privacy standpoint it's really awful. They have indeed had to watch people using the toilet or having sex.

@MaryAustinBooks @paul From what I've read in articles too they are having to see a lot of fucked up shit, they have been working at kind of a backstop to moderation algorithms, so lots of gang violence/executions and so on, which is enough to make most people really struggle with their mental health.

@MaryAustinBooks @paul Yeah, it's horrible, and then they don't get the help they need afterwards, in addition that they are paid way too little, it's such a schemy thing to do, and since they have to sign NDAs, which if broken probably mean that they won't work with any tech stuff, which gives them at least enough to live on.. It's atrocious, As usual, it's the bourgeoisie taking advantage of the proletariat, and not caring because it's not them that have to suffer for their gains.
