Morning, all,

catching up on this side of the Pond... a poignant moment and, for me, a bitter-sweet moment, as RFA ARGUS departed HMNB Portsmouth for the last time.

Argus is the only Royal Fleet Auxiliary (or indeed any RN ship) on which I have spent a night aboard. A cramped berth deep in the bowels of the ship and not for the claustrophobic or those who wonder how they would escape were she torpedoed or suffer some similar sudden casualty.
