Yesterday, when I opened my laptop on the train home, the backlight suddenly wasn't working. However, I felt so cool when I just took out my screwdriver, unscrewed the screen panel and wiggled the connectors a bit to make sure they're connected. That actually did the trick, and the backlight came back on again after that. Managed to do all that without losing one of the tiny screws there in the train.
