Yep, this is the correct framing. You don’t get to attack peaceful democracies without consequences. The point is not which side is stronger or weaker, the point is who caused the war and why.
Russia caused the Ukraine war because of dumb imperalistic non-reasons.
Iran and Hamas caused the Gaza war because of pseudo-religious anti-western nonsense.
One can indeed argue that Hamas started this massacre with the October 12 attack. But Israel is actively imperialist, willfully genociding Palestinians and annexing territory from their neighbours.
That’s nothing like Ukraine at all. And not the behavior of a victim.
