@badsamurai I spent 3 summers in Alaska working around fur seals ( a smaller cousin to these sea lions). Females gave birth between April and June. After giving birth they would mate with a bull. If you came anywhere near a bull during this time of birth and mating, he would attack and you would probably be dead. Once mating was over the bulls could care less about you.
