@JamesK @consumablejoy Tonight's cocktail is an Amaro Sour because I found some beautiful, fresh lemons.
Today I bought this cocktail book only because it was too cheap to pass up ($1.04). It's proving interesting. One of their recommended liqueurs is Cherry Advocaat. I have Advocaat, mostly as a curiosity, but have never seen a recipe calling for it. Likewise it's cherry sibling.

@LilPecan @JamesK @consumablejoy it's really good! For cold advocaat recipes I am lost. I love Eierlikör drinks at German Christmas markets and the Bombardino is the closest thing. Now I have a litre of Verpooten Eierlikör to use up.

Their website has ideas, and while I suspect adding orange juice will make a super split flavour, I am not willing to curdle a drink to find out...

@triploidtree @JamesK @consumablejoy Advocaat is not something you see in the US at all. I can't believe I found a bottle. I only know about it because I watch a lot of British programming, saw it mentioned once and looked it up. I was going to open it this past winter but it's consistency throws me off - I had no idea what to do with it.
But now I do. Thank you!

Enjoy! It's much more on the dessert side of flavours but it can be most excellent. Honestly though, cherry flavour I haven't heard of before today
