As I continue working through Rod Serling's #TwilightZone, I have two more observations:

1. The #cigarette smoking. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, cigarette smoking was more prevalent than it is now, but I don't remember it being like this. If the episodes are a proper reflection of the 60s, then it's a wonder we didn't die out by my birth.

2. I continue to see its influence in media from every decade I've lived, but next up is S4, Ep12 (3/21/1963), "I Dream of Genie." That's a bit much.

@gsllc Back when everything smelled like cigarettes and leaded gasoline, 30 year olds looked like they were 50. Now that smoking indoors is banned everywhere and everybody carries a water bottle to stay hydrated all the time, 30 year olds look like teenagers.
