fun fact: iOS and macOS include a file called 'vocalizer-user-dict.dat' which contain over 26,000 custom pronunciations used by Siri's text-to-speech

for example, "despacito" is encoded as “dEs.p$.'si.to&U", “sysdiagnose" is encoded as “sIs.'da&I.$g.no&Uz”, and "tubthumping" becomes “'t^b.T^m.pInK”
