@tthbaltazar i work at a lab that does nuclear medicine, we have a medical particle accelerator that we use to make radioactive isotopes
and you would think there would be a not-totally-broken library in any programming language to let you do calculations on the databases we have of these reactions but I am still coming up short lol
i don't want geant4 or a full mc code, I just want to be able to get the fricking reaction data as a numpy array but that turns out to not yet be easy

arclight@xeno Aside: Part of our company has a "thorium cow" for producing medical-grade actinium. This is possibly the weirdest term I've heard at any job.

Yeah I’ve heard the cow term used because getting the daughter nuclides is “milking the cow”. Questionable naming for sure….
