My colleague’s mother is currently stuck in Cambodia and so I’ve heard a little about the current flight situation. The main airports in Doha and Dubai are currently offline. Flights have to reroute and the whole air traffic between Europe and the Eastern Asia is therefore disrupted. There are flights but demand outstrips supply and everything is kind of expensive. Nobody knows how long this stupid war will go on, and so it’s really hard to know when prices will get lower or when flights can go on as usual.
Very hard to predict, but the more the war lasts, the least people will fly via the Gulf, which will increase prices for all connections from Europe to Asia and Australia… But I would say that now is too early to buy for October… As a general rule in life.
Thanks, it’s hard to predict anything these days. I can postpone the trip if the prices rise due to fuel shortage or something happening on Russia Finland border, I was expecting some general tips😇
If you don’t wanna transfer in Middle East, there’s Singapore Airlines afaik.
Finnair flies to Japan via Norway, North Pole, Alaska. No idea how expensive that is. I’m guessing it’s just going to get more expensive thanks to oil and gas prices soaring.
It’s more expensive than flying with transfer in Middle East but comparable to other direct flights. Polish LOT flies to Japan through Middle East but comes back to Warsaw through North Pole.

2-3 weeks is way too short to do Japan and Thailand together. In either you can easily spend that much time and have barely seen anything.

Edit: but what exactly does this have to do with this community?
