'I Killed Pons Years Ago' — Epstein's boast about ending Clean Energy research emerges in federal files - sh.itjust.works

On the morning of 1 October 2009, Epstein wrote to Seckel: ‘regarding cold fusion. i killed pons years ago.’ When Seckel pressed him for details — ‘How did you kill him?’ — Epstein replied with specifics, writing that ‘the origidnal senate funding came out of congress, and wayne owens senator from utah , i was there an argues against, it, had ot meet with the head of the mormon church.’ The target of Epstein’s claimed intervention was Stanley Pons, the University of Utah electrochemist who, alongside Martin Fleischmann, announced in March 1989 that they had achieved nuclear fusion at room temperature. The announcement generated global headlines and the prospect of virtually limitless clean energy. Within months, mainstream physics institutions moved to discredit the findings, funding was withdrawn, and Pons eventually relocated to a French laboratory funded by Toyota. Wayne Owens, the figure Epstein names, was a Democratic congressman representing Utah’s 2nd district from 1987 to 1993 — Epstein refers to him as a ‘senator,’ though Owens served in the House. The congressional dimension of the cold fusion controversy is documented: the University of Utah sought $25 million (approximately £18.8 million) from Congress to fund further research, and the state legislature had separately appropriated $5 million (approximately £3.75 million). Brigham Young University, governed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was also entangled in the dispute through physicist Steven Jones, who had been conducting parallel cold fusion research. Epstein’s reference to meeting the head of the Mormon Church aligns with BYU’s institutional role in the congressional funding fight.

Imagine whomever it is that has taken Epstein’s place catering to the rich for favors, and all of the other people like them lobbying the US government/business/churches/your government right now. They have no shortage of ‘clients’

Mormon church is a tax-free money laundering cartel, one of many. It’s an obscenity

I’m gonna keep saying it until people start getting the message.

The French were wrong. The Romans had the right idea.

Srry I’m a little ignorant. What roman idea are you talking about?

No worries I was being cryptic on purpose.

IMO if the French had done to Marie Antionette what the Romans did to Jesus there would be no billionaires today.

I find that highly unlikely

A conspiracy of the rich and powerful killed ceaser because he was too popular with the masses.

All they were protecting, was their own power.

There was a very famous play about it all. It’s seasonally appropriate to go read it, or better yet, see it performed.

I’m suggesting the french should have crucified the rich instead of cutting their heads off.

Yeah, the Romans didn’t crucify the rich, quite the opposite.

None of the conspirators who killed Caesar were crucified, they mostly died in the civil war that Octavius started when he revoked the assassin’s amnesty, which they held for a short time, but most had been driven out of Rome by the populace.

IMO if the French had done to Marie Antionette what the Romans did to Jesus, there would be no billionaires today.

I recommend reading some actual history.

Mostly because your entire premise is, just be cruel in the execution and somehow that fixes things.

Excessive cruelty fixes nothing, especially cruelty of the past.

That and the French cut off a fuckload of rich asshole heads, it was called the Reign of Terror for a reason.

But back to the main point. Cruelty that someone else experienced several hundred years ago, does not motivate someone who doesn’t care about others.

What does scare the fuck out of rich assholes is the idea that the mob could come and take their shit. Taxes and seizures. And maybe a little guillotining on the side, but they won’t actually fear that until it starts happening.

Laws like the Lex Acilia Calpurnia (67 BC) and Lex Pompeia (52 BC) imposed penalties including 10-year or lifetime bans on holding office, heavy fines, and forced exile.

Not sure if that’s what you mean, but honestly, I always say I would be more than happy to just see these evil elites have their assets seized, all future wages garnished and paid to victims, and any right to hold or attempt to influence public office stripped away and I absolutely mean it.

(Definitely preferable to the punishments they receive now. Usually nothing followed by public buildings, statues, and streets named in their honor after they depart.)

I think having to live and struggle to survive amongst the poors would be a fate worse than death for a lot of these life long nepo babies.

Also, my understanding is that the more barbaric (although admittedly more swift) forms of punishments I normally associate with the Roman justice system, were very rare for elites to ever face. They were mainly reserved for slaves and the general public. (Bc some things never change I guess)

I’m suggesting the french should have crucified the rich instead of cutting their heads off.
Yeah I figured it was either that or thrown to the lions

If anyone’s interested in this scandal here’s an excellent video on it, as well as part 2, and part 3.

And yeah, I’m not saying Epstein wasn’t incredibly influential in politics, science, and science funding. He absolutely was. But Pons had a reproducibility problem and his claims just didn’t match his measurements. If his experiment did what he said it did, Chinese, Iranian, and probably several African universities would have reproduced it against US wishes and would be powering their countries with cheap cold fusion reactors. His methodology wasn’t some secret and he’s still never been able to prove his claims.

The Men Who Promised the Impossible: Unlimited Energy

I was about to say, this is one of the few things that make Epstein look good.
Jeffrey Epstein, unrepentant monster and physics fanboy.

A great video series, and also available on Nebula for those you don’t like YouTube.

I do find think the Epstein files sprinkle a seed of doubt into the narrative though. Not enough for me to concluse they actually DID it. But I do wonder if Epstein had greater efforts to defend or discredit research into cold fusion or other threats to the fossil fuel industry. At the very least this email is evidence that indicates he did it once.

Well cold fusion is fundamentally incompatible with our universe. The story is shaky allround and nobody has been able to reproduce it. Even according to their own research, there is nothing from preventing high energy particles and radiation from being produced at the point of fusion. For the amount of energy claimed to have been produced, the researchers would have been dead.

There is an excellent video on YouTube that dives into the whole thing youtu.be/KWlBZT7L1qM

There was a lot of fuckary going around, but cold fusion is absolutely impossible.

The "Conspiracy" to Kill Cold Fusion

If you support the fossil industry, you’re supporting pedophiles.
Now you got me wondering if the Koch brothers are in the files?
I would be more surprised if they’re not in the files. Or in someone else’s files.
