From @thejfreakinc on Dead🐦 yesterday:

🚨BREAKING: DHS agents are now illegally arresting U.S. citizens at airports… and trafficking them across state lines.

A 28-year-old U.S. citizen, Sunny Naqvi, was detained by DHS, for 43 hours, after landing at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.

She wasn’t charged with a crime, and she wasn’t accused of doing anything illegal…

Agents reportedly detained her over what they called a “curious travel history.”

@ginaintheburg @thejfreakinc It is my opinion that it is not illegal arrest but abduction.

And it is my opinion that you are whitewashing, bagatelizing and euphemizing their behaviour by calling it "illegally arresting" and "detained" instead of "abducting", and helping the perpetrators, siding with them and standing on their side and betraying the victim by doing so.

Would you say that a rapist abductor murderer "illegally arrested" and "detained" a woman or would you say that he "abducted" her?

@clock @thejfreakinc

The words are not mine. I was citing another person's post and being accurate about doing so. I have frequently called out this kind of behavior by #ICE as kidnapping. Many people have.

But I understand @thejfreakinc using the term "illegal arrest" to emphasize the illegality of what ICE tries to normalize as lawful actions.
